Chimney house shoes is a Melbourne based slipper label created by Miranda Bourke. “Why are slippers always so hideous?” Miranda mused one day early in 2009. Other questions such as “Why can’t my feet look stylin’ when I’m wearing my jim-jams too?” swirled around Miranda’s mind. And so she set off around the globe gathering inspiration. How about those Moroccan Babouche’s! They’re awesome slippers! And the Japanese - they always get slippers right! And gosh, don’t the Italian’s know a thing or two about velvety soft leathers….

So with lots of ideas in mind Miranda set out to create the perfect pair of slippers – super quiet, comfy and flexible but most importantly, attractive.

August 2009 marked the release of the first Chimney House Shoes collection, featuring two to-die-for styles – cloth and embroidery.

Chimney house shoes can now be found in a select number of retail stores around Australia.
